Two-goal Dennis Oli made an immediate impact for Gillingham
reserves on his return from injury at Priestfield on Wednesday.
Oli (pictured) played the final 30 minutes after coming on as a
second-half substitute during Gillingham's 3-0 win over Brentford
in the Totesport.com Combination League.
Oli and Stanley Aborah came on after an hour, while Curtis
Weston was introduced at the start of the second half.
"It was nice to see Dennis come back," said Gills boss Andy
Hessenthaler. "He is not ready yet, though.
"He scored twice but you could see that he was holding back a
little bit as he has been out for some time.
"He certainly took his goals well and it was refreshing to see
all three back."
The Gills also fielded trialists Bruce Inkango, a French
right-winger who has played for AS Cannes and RCF Paris, and
left-back Jamie Poole, who has previously been with
Middlesbrough.
Stefan Payne opened the scoring for the Gills in the first half
against a strong Brentford side, who featured a number of players
with first-team experience.
Midfielder Kevin Maher and right-back Nicky Southall also played
for 90 minutes.
