Maidenhead 2 Dartford 3

Charlie Sheringham Dartford rounded off their first season in Blue Square South with a 3-2 win at Maidenhead.

There was little to write home about in a first half of few chances and ample time-wasting, but after the break three goals from the visitors sparked the game into life.

Charlie Sheringham gave the Darts the lead on 53 minutes as he lobbed Maidenhead goalkeeper Steve Williams after latching on to a Ryan Hayes through ball. Jack Pallen then doubled the advantage on 68 minutes, linking well with Sheringham on the edge of the penalty area.

Ryan Hayes then made it 3-0 four minutes later with a rasping right foot shot.

Craig Faulconbridge and Jefferson Louis then pulled back consolation goals for the hosts to make it a nervy final four minutes for Tony Burman's side.

Maidenhead finished three points clear of relegation despite the defeat after fellow strugglers Thurrock lost 3-2 at Farnborough.

Dartford finish a commendable first season at this level in 10th.
