Dartford
maintained their unbeaten run in Blue Square Bet South with a
goalless draw at Chelmsford City.
The Darts slipped from the top of the table to third after
failing to find a breakthrough.
Charlie Sheringham (pictures) fired a snap-shot over Stewart
Searle's goal from distance 20 minutes in and shortly after the
half-hour a Ryan Hayes free-kick was nodded across goal by Elliot
Bradbrook, only for Sheringham to head over the bar.
Moments later a Hayes corner almost flew straight in while
Sheringham was thwarted by Searle soon after and Adam Green blazed
another chance over the bar.
Cliff Akurang should have given the hosts the lead moments
before the break, only to send his header wide.
Chelmsford changed their shirts at the break but on the pitch
Bradbrook saw a header saved from Richard Graham's free-kick as
Darts continued to press.
Green fired a free-kick narrowly wide with five minutes
remaining but they were unable to break the deadlock before the
final whistle.
