Kent are moving closer to deciding on the appointment of a
new head coach.
The original shortlist of 16 has now been trimmed to six, with
the selection process due to begin this week.
The vacancy attracted an impressive list of candidates from home
and abroad, but chief executive Jamie Clifford would not give any
clues how many of those being interviewed are UK-based.
Mr Clifford (pictured) said: “In an ideal world we will be
ready to make an appointment before Christmas.
"But our ultimate aim is that the process leads us to the
right person, and we won’t rush to get it done by then.”
Talks about other new signings are continuing, while Simon
Cook’s future still has to be resolved.
