Two promising Kent youngsters have signed contract extensions
with the club.
Adam Ball and Daniel Bell-Drummond, who were not out of contract
until the end of next season, have both penned additional two-year
deals with the county.
Left-arm seamer Ball (right) made his first-class debut at
the beginning of the season before going on to make nine
appearances in Kent’s LV= County Championship campaign.
The England under-19 skipper became a regular in the Kent
Spitfires’ Friends Life t20 side, playing 13 games in the county’s
journey to the quarter-finals.

Bell-Drummond (right), also a member of the England under-19
squad, made his first-class debut for the county this year and is
expected to be vying for an opening berth next season following the
departure of Joe Denly.
Ball said: “I’m extremely pleased to have extended my contract
with the club. I have learnt a great deal this season.
"I feel extremely well supported by the club and I am pleased to
have the opportunity to study for my degree at the University of
Kent whilst remaining fully committed to the club for the next
three years.”
Simon Willis, Kent’s high performance director said: “These two
lads have developed through the Kent cricket system. They have
worked extremely hard and are an excellent example of what can be
achieved through hard work and determination.
"I’m extremely pleased that they have extended their contracts,
and have the opportunity to develop and realise their potential as
part of the Kent squad.”
