A new found belief is the reason for Gillingham's run of three wins in a row in League 2, says Charlie Lee

Charlie Lee says the players’ new
found belief is the reason behind Gillingham’s upturn in form.

The Gills have now won three in a row,
following a gritty 1-0 victory at Plymouth on Saturday, which has
moved them to within three points of the play-offs in League
Two.
Lee (pictured), who has been playing
at right-back recently to cover for injuries, said: "We are feeling
sky high. We dug in and got a great result.
"It was attack versus defence for most
of the game but we showed what we can do defensively and after
letting in four on Tuesday we have now kept clean sheets in three
of the last four. We are happy with the result.
"We are starting to show the
confidence in ourselves and we are looking good."
Lee had to forego his attacking
instincts once Joe Martin was sent off in the 31st
minute but the former Peterborough man was quick to praise
team-mate Garry Richards on his return to the side.
He said: "When you stick together and
get a result it’s better than any other result you can get.
"He [Richards] was unbelievable. He
got cramp in both calves and I have never seen a centre back do so
much running. He will be fighting fit for the next game and he was
brilliant."
