Return of Bradley Dack after an ankle injury keenly anticipated by Gillingham boss Martin Allen

By Luke Cawdell
The imminent return from injury of youngster Bradley Dack is one
that excites Gillingham boss Martin Allen.
Dack (pictured) was a regular first team member for the Gills
before limping off injured in the FA Cup game against Scunthorpe at
the start of November.
There were initial fears that he had suffered ankle ligament
damage but that was soon ruled out and the attacking midfielder – a
goalscoring sensation for the youth team – made a comeback for the
Gillingham development squad on Tuesday night.
"Whenever Brad plays, he makes things happen," said Allen.
"Brad is a good player, a powerful player, a great athlete and
still only 18. He is one for the future.
"He may not always be technically gifted in the centre of
midfield but when it comes to the final third, Brad makes things
happen, like he did here (at Priestfield) against Southend when we
won 1-0. He was the one who got brought down for the penalty."
Dack has made nine appearances for the Gills and signed a
three-year deal with the club in September.
