Gillingham players Bradley Dack, Joe Martin and Charlie Allen facing fitness battle

by Luke Cawdell
Three Gillingham players will
find out before the weekend how much longer they will be sidelined
through injury.
Midfielder Bradley Dack
(pictured) has had his foot in an air-boot this week to take
the pressure off an injury he picked up in last weekend’s FA Cup
match against Scunthorpe.
Ankle ligament damage has been ruled
out but he may have damaged a metatarsal bone.
"If he is still in the same pain then
we will probably have to go for a scan just to check," said boss
Martin Allen.
"We don’t really like them going for
scans because they cost £400. Mr Scally (the chairman) doesn’t like
that."
Meanwhile, Joe Martin and Charlie
Allen were due to see a consultant yesterday (Thursday) to assess
the recovery of their broken hands.
"Hopefully they can join in next week if scans show the bone has
fused in their injuries to get them back going again," said
Allen.
