Gillingham assistant manager John Schofield writes exclusively for the KM Group

Our next game is live on Sky and that’s a great opportunity for
us to spread the word about what we’re doing here.
I have been involved in a few live TV games, including one of
the early Sky Sports games, when Bolton visited Lincoln in the FA
Cup.
Then obviously there are the play-off games as well and it’s
great.
I know we get good coverage locally but we are going to get good
coverage on a national/international stage and it is about us
spreading the message what we are about and about how professional
we are.
But just because there are cameras on us, doesn’t mean we will
do anything any different.
We will have a game plan, stick to it and we will get on with
it. We will enjoy it and have said that a lot to the boys this
season, it’s about enjoying it and enjoying that encounter you are
going to come up against.
I know their player-manager Gareth Ainsworth through our mutual
links with former club Lincoln and he is a good lad and is always
there or thereabouts. He is honest and has a go. His team play the
same way.
It will be another testing game and as we’ve seen, everyone has
to be bang at it all the time, otherwise slip-ups can happen.
