Gillingham forward Myles Weston determined to repay fans' support with overdue home win against Northampton

by Luke Cawdell
Myles Weston admits the Gillingham players owe the fans a
result against Northampton on Tuesday.
Gillingham haven’t won a game at home since mid-November and
it’s something Weston and the rest of the players want to put
right.
Weston, pictured, was a first-half substitute in Saturday’s 1-1
draw with York and said: "We are looking to get a win at home
and give the fans something to cheer about again because our home
form isn’t the best.
"I feel it is coming and hopefully the sooner the better. I
don’t think we are playing bad, it’s just the results haven’t gone
for us."
Gillingham improved in the second half against York and Weston
was delighted with the way the supporters got behind them after the
break.
He said: "They gave us the support we needed even though it
wasn’t going right."
Weston knows victory will take the Gills back to the top of
League 2 and he added: "Being top shows we are the No.1 team and
the sooner we get back there, the better."
Gillingham's postponed fixture away to Rochdale has been
re-arranged for Tuesday, March 19.
The match was called off last Saturday due to a frozen
pitch.
