Charlie Allen has been recalled by Gillingham halfway through a loan spell with Skrill Premier Tamworth.
The midfielder returns following injuries to both Elliott Hewitt and John Mousinho, which have seen the loan pair sent back to their respective clubs.
Allen hasn't featured for the Gills since manager Martin Allen - his father - was sacked.
He was sent out on loan to Tamworth but that spell proved fruitless, as he was sent off on his debut and didn't make an appearance after that. The Gills brought him back to Priestfield once a recall could be activated, after 28 days.
The Gills are light in midfield but could soon have Amine Linganzi back involved. The Frenchman returned to training on Monday, having come back from a calf injury.
Fellow midfielder Steven Gregory (hamstring) is still a week away from recovery, while Craig Fagan (kicking muscle) is also expected to miss this weekend's trip to Notts County.
