Peter Taylor will be assessing the fitness of several players ahead of Gillingham's trip to Stevenage
Danny Hollands could return for the Gills on Wednesday
Injuries could once again force Peter Taylor’s hand when he comes to picking his side.
Chris Whelpdale returned to the starting XI for Sunday’s game against Walsall but limped off late on with an ankle injury.
Gills boss Peter Taylor was due to assess his several players on Monday, following knocks.
“We will have to wait and see (on Whelpdale),” said Taylor.
“He was feeling his ankle and it wasn’t just a kick.”

The Gills could, however, have Danny Hollands back in the side. He has been out with a knee injury, picked up during the home draw against Peterborough.
“Hollands has a chance for New Year’s Day, not 100%, but a bit of a chance,” said Taylor.
Danny Kedwell played 90 minutes against Walsall, despite being booked in for a hernia operation on January 2.
“He said he was feeling a lot better and we will wait and see on him,” said Taylor.
The Gills face two games in three days this week, starting with a trip to Stevenage on Wednesday but Taylor is confident his team are fit enough to cope.
“We will be fine and we will have enough,” he said.
