The 2010 Kent School Games are
under way and more than 30,000 youngsters will be taking
part in events across the county. Children, aged five to
16, will have the opportunity to compete in 38 different sports,
including disability sports, with local heats running from October
culminating in a series of finals events in July 2010. The KM
Group, official media partner of the Games, keeps you up to date
with the latest news from what is thought to be the largest event
of its kind in Europe.

The Kent School Games has been voted such a success that the
model is going to be taken nationwide.

Months of training,

Kent will
stage Europe’s largest school sports event and double Olympic
gold medallist Kelly Holmes will be on hand to launch it next
month. The 2010 Kent School Games is being organised by Kent County
Council and will involve 545 schools.
