Darren Stevens swept the board at the Kent Cricket end of season awards held at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on Friday.
The all-rounder was an overwhelming winner of the Player of the Season award - voted for by members and supporters - presented to the player who had made the greatest contribution to the club.
The 37-year-old also claimed The Mike Denness Cup, for batsmen of the year, after scoring 1,880 runs in all competitions. He passed former skipper Rob Key in the standings with his imperious unbeaten 205 which helped win their LV= County Championship Division 2 finale on the final afternoon.
Stevens also claimed the Bowler of the Year Award, having taken 51 wickets in all forms throughout the season, finishing 15 clear of second-placed Mark Davies.
The veteran also won The Alan Ealham Cup, for Kent’s fielder of the year, taking 25 catches across the summer which was eight more than runner-up Matt Coles, now with Hampshire, with Sam Billings claiming 17.
Stevens said: “It has been quite a tough year, but I’ve worked hard and tried to throw myself into my cricket and do the best I can for the team.
“We were not as successful as we’d hoped this season, which is disappointing, but personally I am chuffed to bits to have had a year like this.”
Kent skipper James Tredwell received the Fitzgerald Jewellers’ One Day Player of the Year Award.
Both he and Stevens won two individual man-of-the-match awards through the season and head coach Jimmy Adams was called-on to break the tie and decide who should win.
The evening also saw recognitition for a host of other players.
Fabian Cowdrey, Mitch Claydon, Calum Haggett and Matt Hunn were awarded cufflinks in recognition of their first class debuts during the season while Daniel Bell Drummond, Ben Harmison and Sam Northeast were recognised for recording milestone centuries and Adam Riley and Claydon for five-wicket hauls.
