More tickets to top attractions up for grabs
More free tickets to top attractions and experiences across
the county are up for grabs.
The My Kent Big Weekend ballot website, offering 17,000 tickets
to more than 100 visitor destinations and experiences, received
almost 50,000 entries during the first five days of it going
live.
Now even more tickets are available for the weekend of Saturday,
March 23 and Sunday, March 24, including 200 guided tours of the
National Fruit Collections at Brogdale near Faversham; 140 guided
tours of the vineyards at Hush Heath Estate, Staplehurst; 300
tickets to Hever Castle and Gardens and 200 guided tours of
Chislehurst Caves.
Kent Adult Education Centres are also offering art and
craft taster sessions across the county, including pottery at
Gravesend; botanical drawing and painting at Maidstone; drawing and
painting at Canterbury; watercolours for beginners at Tonbridge;
stained glass at Deal; jewellery at Sevenoaks; sugarcraft at
Dartford; and batik at Broadstairs.
Sandra Matthews-Marsh, chief executive at
Visit Kent, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer even more
free tickets for My Kent Big Weekend 2013 to appeal to an even
wider range of tastes.
“Our ballot system means that no tickets are
allocated until after the website closes. So it does not matter if
you are one of the first or last to submit your applications for
tickets to a great day out over the My Kent Big Weekend on March 23
and 24.”
Two free My Kent Big Weekend tickets are available per
household.
Applications can be made at www.mykentbigweekend.co.uk until
midnight on Monday, February 18.
