First Lounge on the Farm line-up announced
Blues legend Seasick Steve and 80s dance
band Soul II Soul have been revealed as the headline acts for
this year's Lounge on the Farm.
It is the 8th year of the festival, which will be taking place
at Canterbury's Merton Farm from Friday, July 26 to Sunday,
July 28.
Legendary singer Caron Wheeler will be flying in to
perform with Soul II Soul, and other well-known acts booked include
top reggae band Aswad.
In addition to more than 30 music acts, there will also be a
host of other entertainment, including comedy from Stephen K.Amos,
and karaoke with former EastEnders star Shaun Williamson.
Other attractions
will include a Victorian
funfair in
association with The Dreamland Trust; a Spa and Create
area in Amongst The Orchards,
where festivalgoers can relax with a Swedish massage or learn
a new skill, and last year's popular Roller
Disco is back, along with Lounge favourite The Groovy Movie Solar
Cinema.
Lounge on the Farm has always championed local produce,
and this year will be no exception, with a wide range of tasty
locally-sourced refreshments on offer at stalls around the site.
And foodies are in for an extra treat as a host of
critically acclaimed chefs will be demonstrating recipes in
the Kitchen
Theatre.
And refined festivalgoers who fancy a tipple with a
difference, can join cocktail mixology masterclasses.
Tickets, priced £100 for an adult
weekend pass, go on sale at 9am on Friday, March 8.
