Go wild with the Christmas trail at Leeds Castle
After the excitement of Christmas,
wrap up warm and bring the children to Leeds Castle to join in
‘wild’ trail fun through the grounds.

From Boxing Day until 6 January
2013, clues will be planted around the estate for children to
collect and piece together. Once you’ve collected all the clues,
re-arrange the letters to form a festive phrase. An additional
charge of £1 per trail card applies.
All correct entries will be entered into a
draw for the chance to win a half day Hawk Walk experience with
Leeds Castle’s Falconer and our Harris Hawk.
This three hour experience, will be for
four people (at least one participant must be over 16) and will be
valid for a year from the date issued.
Can you identify the different types of
birds, trees and other wildlife at Leeds Castle?
Once you’ve completed the trail,
watch our expert falconers fly the Castle’s birds of prey
over the parkland in an exciting 45 minute falconry
display, which takes place daily at 1.30pm from 22 December until
the 6 January (inclusive), weekends only at 1.30pm after this date.

The oak beamed Fairfax restaurant offers a
warm place to sit and enjoy the views of the castle from across the
moat whilst enjoying a seasonal ‘jingle bell wrap’ or ‘rocking
around the Christmas brie’ baguette.
Warm spiced mulled wine, cinnamon
spiced latte and mint hot chocolate will also be available
along with a selection of delicious festive hot meals.
Explore the castle - beautifully
decorated in red, gold and green with traditional paper chains and
decorations, twinkling lights, cinnamon and orange wreaths and
fragrant pine Christmas trees.
Many of the decorations hanging in the
castle will be available to purchase, along with a wide range of
gift ideas from the two Castle shops.

Key to the Castle tickets are required for the
Winter Trail event. These cost £19.75 for adults; £17.50 for
seniors and visitors with disabilities (carer goes free); £12.50
for children (under 4’s free).
Tickets are valid for 12 months so you can pay
once and visit all year round.
Leeds Castle is located near Maidstone in Kent
