Sittingbourne Extra was launched in 1989 to fill a
gap in the KM Group's North Kent operation.
The company had acquired the Sheerness Times Guardian
and Faversham News two years before.
Sittingbourne Extra has maintained a distribution in
the town and surrounding villages of over 18,000. It
now runs in conjunction with its paid-for sister paper,
the Kent Messenger's Sittingbourne edition.
