"Flybe identified Kent Business as
a publication that could target an area in the South East where the
regular business traveller is potentially well catered for by
Flybe; with Gatwick as key growth market, and Manston – Jersey as a
new route launch in ’09. Kent Business was chosen by Flybe as the
core KM Group publication to drive a ticket giveaway for two pairs
of flights to any UK or European Destination on the Flybe network.
Through a branding exercise for Flybe, all competition entries were
generated online, through the creation of a landing page on the
newly expanded Kent Business website. A short questionnaire
/survey was specially created in conjunction with Flybe, designed
to measure the general the flying habits of the Kent business
market. All entrants had to complete the survey. The promotion was
also supported through a 4 week kmfm radio campaign, directing the
audience to enter the promotion online. The promotion generated
over 800 completed entries online, with almost 50% opting in to be
included in future Flybe data base marketing. Flybe acknowledge
that the KM Group multimedia opportunities are able to potentially
offer a true form of consumer engagement and cost efficiency, that
can drive brand distinction and strategically targeted sales
opportunities."
