Song for England winner announced

As the World Cup kicks off in Johannesburg, South Africa, KM Group is pleased to announce Trevor Osborne from Ashford as the winner of Kent's Song for England.

Trevor Osborne - who has won Kent's Song for EnglandHis anthem Go Win For England was one of 10 finalists the public were encouraged to listen to online and vote for by text; proceeds of which will benefit the Demelza Hospice Care for Children charity.

Singer and guitarist Osborne, 48, whose victory was announced to 158,000 listeners across Kent* by Rob Wills on kmfm Drivetime, will now have his song professionally produced by Independent Music Productions.

Sponsored by Kent Adult Education, the competition was launched at the start of May and promoted across the Kent-based company’s multimedia portfolio, including newspapers with a combined weekly readership of 662,931 adults,** and attracted 55 entries.
