Celebrating two years of Treasure Chest initiative
The KM
Treasure Chest is celebrating two years of supporting the
fund-raising activities of good causes in the county.
The community scheme, organised by the KM
Group in partnership with Leeds Castle, P&O Ferries, Chatham
Historic Dockyard, Hop Farm and Gillingham Football Club, has
helped good causes to raise £125,000 by donating quality raffle
prizes to support events across Kent.
Any organisation can apply for treasure chest
prizes by going online to www.kentonline.co.uk/treasure.
Prizes on offer include family tickets to
Leeds Castle, The Hop Farm, The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, family
ticket to see the Gills play or a five day P&O Ferries crossing
voucher for a vehicle and up to nine passengers.
Simon Dolby, manager of the KM Charity Team,
which runs the scheme, said “This is a fantastic milestone for KM
Treasure Chest and its success would not have been possible without
the support of Kent’s top attractions. We are so grateful to them
for their backing.”
He added that the team was expecting another
wave of applications in the coming weeks from sports clubs, PTA
groups, charities and good causes, all wanting prizes to support
their Christmas events.
Rochester Cathedral Trust was the 200th
applicant to benefit from the scheme and received a P
& O Ferries
crossing voucher.
