Controversial plans for a huge lorry park off the M20 as a solution to Operation Stack have been scrapped by the government. In a massive U-turn, they say it'll no longer be going ahead with the 250 million pound project near Hythe.
They are demanding an extra £1.7 billion per year for schools from next week's Autumn Budget. According to the letter, schools won't be able to recruit teachers, class sizes will increase and some subjects could be withdrawn. The figures come after the borough and county council teamed up to combat troublesome truckers who park where they shouldn't across the area.
