Don't bulldoze the birds - Campaigners angry at alleged work on protected land

Campaigners fear a protected bird habitat could be damaged after a bulldozer was spotted clearing land near Rochester.

Machinery was seen on the Lodge Hill site which is an area of national scientific interest and a home for nightingales.

The site has been the subject of plans to build 5,000 houses after Homes England bought the land this month but there's no permission to start building.
