All News...Video: Local band celebrate new single

by Adam Williams

Kent band Billy Wears Dresses launched their new single This Is The Song on Monday afternoon with a live set at Canterbury HMV.

The four piece group, a big hit on the local gig circuit in recent years and former finalists in kmfm’s Battle of The Bands competition, are also hoping to release their first album in the new year with record label Inline Records.

Billy Wears Dresses comprises Nick Spink (lead vocals and acoustic guitar) from Whitstable, Paul Moss (vocals and bass guitar) from Canterbury, Martin Loft (vocals, lead guitar, mandolin and keyboards) and Ian Snowball (drums), both from Maidstone.

The CD, which is available to buy at HMV stores in Canterbury and Maidstone and on digital download at iTunes, includes new songs She’ll Be Drinking and Bad Time 4 The Faithful.

It’s set to be a busy few weeks for the group who will be performing at Christmas lights switch-ons in Canterbury on Thursday November 20, Herne Bay on Saturday November 22 and Margate on Saturday November 29.
