The charity has agreed to prepare a delicious ploughman’s supper for every quiz-goer in return for a share of the proceeds raised at the event being staged at The Stour Centre, Ashford on Friday, October 16.

The Kent MS Therapy Centre, which opened in January this year, provides a range of therapies and services to improve the quality of life for people with MS and help to alleviate some of the symptoms.

Helen Wathen, fundraising manager for the centre, said: “We are delighted to have been asked to provide the ploughman's platters for the KM Big Charity Quiz in Ashford.

“We are grateful for the support we receive from the KM Charity Team and are looking forward to providing bigger and better platters for quiz-goers this year.”

Booking is still open for teams up to eight people at www.kmbigquiz.co.uk using the booking code ABQEB15 to receive a £10 discount on the price and a bottle of wine for the table. Entry fee includes a drink, a ploughman’s and entry into a P&O Ferries prize draw for each team member.

Organisers are expecting a record turnout ensuring a bumper windfall for three charities; the Kent MS Therapy Centre, Guide Dogs for the Blind and the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.

Kent-based Hornby has donated a stack of toys and collectables to be distributed as raffle prizes while Barclays bank has pledged to double the charity pot. Shepherd Neame will provide the fully stocked charity bar which is a vital element of fundraising on the night.

Other key partners of the KM Big Quiz include Specsavers, HR GO and Hallett and Co.

Adding to the tension one quiz-goer will be called up to the stage to answer an on the spot quiz question worth £100 in cash.

Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team, which is organising the event, said: “The Big Quiz a great team builder for businesses and fun for friends and family alike with lots of fantastic prizes up for grabs.”
