Golding Vision - the charitable arm of Golding Homes - is offering individual small grants of up to £1,000 to community, voluntary or charity groups through its £50,000 Community Chest Grant Fund. The fund is now open to applications and will close on Monday, January 4, 2016.

Projects considered for a grant could include play schemes, leisure activities for communities, skills training, and start up funding for new community groups.

Applications for funding are considered four times a year and organisations that apply must be based in Maidstone and the surrounding areas where Golding Homes’ properties are located.

This year Golding Vision has helped Roseacre Raiders purchase new goals for their girls football team, assisted in Maidstone Switch Youth Café refurbishment and donated to the Salvation Army Christmas Parcel Appeal.

Daniel Skinner, manager of Roseacre Raiders, said: “The grant from Golding Vision has been invaluable and enabled the older girls to keep playing their sport. Our development squad has been able to double in numbers.”

Caroline McBride, head of community development at Golding Vision, said: “It is very easy to apply and you still have time for the January rounds. A number of great local causes have benefited from this grant including schools, young carers and sport clubs. These groups provide vital support and activities to members of our communities and we are happy to give a helping hand.”

Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for good causes in the area and I applaud Golding Vision for their generosity. I would urge all local charities to apply without delay.”
