The event celebrates the success of green travel schemes including Walk on Wednesday (WOW) and Active Bug, organised by the KM’s charity department, as well as the KM reading scheme Buster’s Book Club.

The annual mini festival is being staged on Saturday, May 16 at Dane John Gardens, Canterbury and will feature a double record attempt to create the largest walk to school ‘crocodile’ and the biggest teddy bears’ picnic in the county.

Other activities will include pedal go karts from Atlantis Entertainment, a beat the goalie contest run by Canterbury Eagles Under 8's football team, and mask making with Anna Bell from Westgate Gardens, as well as balloon modelling and a Punch and Judy show.

Last year’s KM Walk to School Song Contest finalists will entertain the crowds with a group singing performance from the bandstand.
