Free forum offers expert advice for charities, good causes, PTAs and schools including a workshop by MHA MacIntyre Hudson

Finance experts MHA MacIntyre Hudson will be speaking at a special free event staged to support charities and schools in Kent and Medway.

The firm of chartered accountants is supporting the KM Charity Team Forum on Wednesday, October 7. The company is holding a workshop at the half-day event tackling topical subjects in the charity sector.

Colin Mills of MHA MacIntyre Hudson said: “We are pleased to be main sponsor of the KM Charity Forum this year. Some of the areas we will be covering will be the recent changes in accountancy so you should be able to run your charity more efficiently and more effectively.”

The firm has also been appointed Corporate Ambassador for the KM Charity Team in recognition of its collaborative work with the KM Group’s charity department.

Other forum sessions include how to apply to become KM Charity of the Year 2016, how to request Treasure Chest prizes for auctions and raffles, and how to make the most of fundraising and training opportunities.

A talk by Jelf Insurance will focus on key insurance issues for charities and PTAs. Leading grant specialist Claire Haffenden will offer top tips on applying for charitable trust and grant funding.

Staged by the KM Charity Team, the annual forum also includes a variety of workshops for schools covering literacy, green travel, road safety, health and wellbeing, and Pupil Voice.
