KM Charity of the Year winners can benefit from collaborative events with the KM Charity Team such as the KM Colour Run to help boost their profile and fundraising.

One winning charity will be championed per newspaper in the KM Group including Kentish Gazette; Sheerness Times Guardian; Thanet Extra; Dartford and Gravesend Messenger; Medway Messenger; East Kent Mercury and Kent Messenger

Submissions will be read by the relevant paper’s editor giving each applicant an unrivalled opportunity to raise their profile within the local community.

KM Charity Team chief executive Simon Dolby said, “Our editors want to find a cause with a vision that grabs their attention and will resonate with their readership. Every application is looked at very carefully so make sure yours is the best it can be.”

He added: “Take the time to really shout about your charity’s plans for the coming year. Applications that excite the editor could get featured in a one-off news story even if the cause is not selected as a winner.”

Each winning cause will receive 12 months of support from their local KM newspaper and KentOnline as well as access to a range of fundraising opportunities.
