Hornby hobbies pledges top prizes for the KM Big Charity Quiz

Kent-based Hornby hobbies have agreed to support 10 major charity events in the county.

The organisation will be supporting five educational events and five charity fundraising events, to celebrate the fifth anniversary of working with the KM Charity Team.

The firm has previously supported the record-breaking wine and wisdom evening - KM Big Charity Quiz - staged by the charity department at this newspaper, helping to raise more than £150,000 for good causes.

New for 2017, Hornby will donate items for the raffles of educational events including the Kent Teacher Awards, Green School Awards and Kent Literacy Awards.

Sandie Johnson Hornby Visitor center manager said: "In 2017 Hornby have donated star prizes for the 10 major charity and community events. We are proud to donate top prizes including the in demand Hornby Scalextric Super GT set."

Hornby have donated a selection of sought after prizes including the Short Sunderland MK III worth £159.00; Virgin Class 43 HST pack with TTS sound £255; Super GT APP race control ARC One Scalextric set £165; WW1 Battle of the Somme Centenary gift set £33 and the Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Pearl Harbor 75th Anniversary set £50.
