Organisers are aiming to create Kent’s biggest wine and wisdom event of the year.

The Stour Centre is hosting the evening on Friday, October 10 and there is still time to enter a team.

Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team urged people to join the record-breaking attempt.

He said: “The evening will appeal to the serious quiz-goer as well as groups who are just there for a fun night out.

“Participants will be helping to raise thousands of pounds for good causes as well as have the chance to win amazing prizes including £500 in cash.”

Funds raised will go towards Ashford Foodbank, Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, KM Walk to School, and road safety training for children.

Booking costs £65 for a quiz team of eight and this includes drink on arrival, ploughman’s meal, and bottle of wine on the table.

New to 2014: all participants will go into a free draw to win a P&O Ferry ticket.
