The landmark wine and wisdom style event will be hosted by the Stour Centre, Ashford on Friday, October 16.

Proceeds will be divided between the Guide Dogs charity and road safety services for children in Ashford.

Organisers are hoping for a record fundraising night with every pound spent at the raffle and the Shepherd Neame charity bar being matched by Barclays bank.

Pat Marshall said: "Guide Dogs Ashford is thrilled to be a charity beneficiary of this year’s KM Big Quiz. We will be entering our own team and looking forward to taking part in what is sure to be a fabulous and fun evening’s entertainment."

Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team urged KentOnline readers to take up the quiz challenge.

“Gather a team for the Big Quiz and make a huge difference to two wonderful charities. We want to make the most of Barclays’ generosity and raise a huge sum but can only do it with your help,” he said.

“We’ve also got a prize packed charity raffle as well as a £100 cash prize up for grabs,” he added.

The price of £65 per team of eight includes drink on arrival, ploughman’s supper and entry into a prize draw to win a P&O Ferries voucher.

Key partners of the KM Big Quiz include Hallett and Co, Specsavers, Hornby Visitor Centre and HR GO.

Book a team at www.kmbigquiz.co.uk using the code ABQEB15 to receive a £10 booking discount and bottle of wine on the night.
