Gullands of Maidstone are encouraging locals to take part in the KM Charity Walk which celebrates its 21st birthday this year.

Marianne Webb, of Gullands solicitors, said: “We have a long tradition of supporting local charities, and being involved in this milestone anniversary of the walk is greatly satisfying.”

She added: “The KM Charity Team organises many events annually in Maidstone, and being at the very heart of the town makes our partnership all the more rewarding.”

Booking is now open for the Specsavers-supported walk which takes place on Sunday, June 26th.

Walkers can choose a 10 mile or 5 mile trek which starts at the Grade II listed mansion Mote House, Maidstone and ventures through to Leeds Castle.

All entrants will receive a limited edition medal for their achievements, as well as a goody bag and a barbecue upon return.

The walk climaxes with a garden party complete with live music.

Sophie Wallace, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organises the event, said: “In 2015, 400 walkers took part and raised a staggering £20,000 for good causes. We aim to build on this success in June and look forward to seeing plenty of new faces as well as returning ones.”

Booking is charged at £11.50 per adult and children under 16 go free. Walkers are encouraged to gain sponsorship for their ramble.
