Earlybird cyclists can win two pairs of tickets to a Kent premiere screening of Mountain Biking: The Untold Story with the KM Big Bike Ride

Those who gear up early for the 2017 KM Big Bike Ride have the chance to stroll the red carpet at a Kent film premiere.

The annual Sportive ride is now open for booking, and those who secure their place by midnight on Sunday, July 31 will be in with a chance of winning two pairs of VIP tickets to an early screening of the new sportive documentary Mountain Biking: The Untold British Story.

Detailing the rise of British biking from its humble XC racing days, to the modern adrenaline-inducing disciplines of Enduro, the documentary will give audiences a behind-the-scenes look of their beloved sport as well as offering interviews with the likes of Steve Peat, Tracy Moseley and Martyn Ashton.

The premiere screening will take place on Thursday, August 4 at the Curzon Cinema in Canterbury.

Staged at Betteshanger Park, near Deal on Sunday, April 30 2017, KM Big Bike Ride entrants have the option of a 50K country or 100K coastal route which will span some of the county’s most beautiful scenery.

All riders will receive a limited edition medal upon completion, as well as a Sportive photograph and opportunities to appear in their local edition of the KM newspaper.

Organised by the KM Group’s charitable sector, the ride can be entered just for fun, or cyclists can opt to raise money for their favourite charity.

KM Charity Team events manager Lisa Craig, said: “We couldn’t think of a better incentive to book your place for the 2017 KM Big Bike Ride early. The chance to attend a film premiere is extremely exciting and we at the charity are a little bit jealous that we haven’t got tickets! The KM Big Bike Ride is open to all, but children aged 12 – 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
