LOCAL CHARITIES GO HEAH TO HEAD FOR MALL CHEQUERS ‘CAROL FACTOR’ CROWN

Over this year the Mall opens its doors to local charities to collect in the Mall. At Christmas these charities are asked to enter The Mall Chequers ‘Carol Factor’ competition for a chance to win the coveted title and raise much needed money for their charities.

Each charity is allowed to pick a day to perform during the first three weeks of December and sing carols to help raise money for their charity. The carollers that raised the most money will not only be crowned carol factor winners of 2008, but will also have their raised money matched by The Mall Chequers (terms & Conditions apply).

Suzie Brindle, Marketing Manager for the Mall Chequers explained ‘all the entries from previous year have done exceptionally, last year the competition help raise £2358.57. This year will be the biggest year as we see ten charities go head to head.’

Charities that took part included Maidstone Mencap, Almeizhers Association, RNLI & Heart of Kent Hospice.
