Maidstone man arrested after East Farleigh drug raid

A Maidstone man has been arrested after officers discovered a hoard of cannabis plants.

The 41-year-old was questioned by police in connection with the raid at an address in Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, on Thursday.

Patrols executed a warrant to investigate an electric metre bypass and found about 50 cannabis plants, £4,000 in cash and cultivation equipment.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, theft by abstracting electricity and cultivating cannabis.

He has been released on bail until September.
