A dead pony has been found abandoned in Lenham.

The animal was discovered in Warren Street yesterday morning by a distressed passerby.

Pictures taken by a member of the public, who wishes remains to remain anonymous, suggest one of horse’s hind legs was tied to a wooden post.

They went on to tell the Kent Messenger that the horse was clearly emaciated and there were no obvious signs of a struggle.

If anyone has any information relating to this case contact the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018.
