All lanes on the A249 have re-opened after an earlier accident.
A two-car collision had occurred on the southbound carriageway just south of the junction with the M2 (Junction 5).
One lane had been closed with traffic queuing back to the Bobbing roundabout.
The congestion has now cleared with the road no worse than usual.
No-one was injured.
