Accident on M20

A van driver is in hospital with serious injuries after an accident early today.

The incident happened just before 3am on the London-bound carriageway of the M20 between junctions 2 (Wrotham) and 3 (M26).

The driver of the van was trapped in his vehicle after colliding with an HGV. Firefighters from Larkfield were called to cut him free.

A few hours later, there was another accident just off the M20. At least two cars were involved in a shunt on the London-bound slip road at junction 6 (Blue Bell Hill) at about 8.20am.

No one was injured but the Highways Agency is at the scene and there is a possibility that some of the motorway may be closed.
