Maidstone: Ambulance called to Greggs after shopper collapses

A Maidstone town centre road was closed this afternoon while paramedics treated a man who collapsed outside a store.

Emergency services were called to the scene outside Greggs, in King Street, shortly after 3.20pm.

Paramedics said the man, thought to be in his 50s, had suffered a fit.

Crowds of people gathered around the man, who collapsed next to the nearby bus stop.

Emergency services left the scene shortly before 4pm.
