It's reported the man entered the Halifax in Sevenoaks High Street at around 10.45am today and demanded money from staff.

He was wearing a balaclava or tightly-drawn hood and sunglasses and had what's described as a gun.

He then fled into a nearby car.

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw a silver car, possibly a convertible, driving erratically in the High Street at around that time.

It was last seen near the council building.

No-one was harmed during the incident, but staff were left shaken.

Anyone with any information should contact DC Tony Hatcher at Tonbridge police station by calling 01732 379346.
