Fire in Sandling Road shop in Maidstone

The fire was quickly extinguished

Two fire engines were called to a shop in Sandling Road, Maidstone, this lunchtime, after a fire broke out in the basement. A KFRS spokesman said: “It was a small fire and it has already been extinguished. The crews are just standing by while an electrical engineer is called to make sure the premises are safe.” The call was received at 12.20pm.
