A young woman has her sights set on a top title after winning her way through to the final of the Miss London City beauty pageant.

Katie Lucas, 24, will compete against girls across the country in the capital on August 30.

The Headcorn resident, who works for Genco Construction Services in Maidstone, has run a 5k race for the Alzheimer’s Society is also arranging a pub quiz at the Woolpack Hotel in Tenterden in memory of her nanny Connie.
