A family home's been destroyed in a fire.

Around 25 firefighters - four tanks and a water unit - were called to Bourne Lane in Plaxtol near Sevenoaks at 11.10pm last night.

A bungalow was blazing and there were concerns for the family, as cars were parked in the driveway.

However reports say the family were not in the home, but on holiday.

Firefighters left the scene at 3.23am - they may return later today to check for hot spots.

It's not known if an investigation is to be carried out.
