Woman charged with driving offences after being arrested near sliproad for M20 junction 7 at Detling

A number of police cars, including an unmarked patrol, were called in to help apprehend a burglary suspect near the M20.

A car had raised suspicions in Maidstone town centre and officers were called at 4.20pm last Thursday.

It was located on the A249, close to junction 7 of the motorway for Detling, and stopped.

While no burglary charges were brought, Donna Bartlett, 33, of Rochester High Street was later charged with driving without insurance or a valid driving licence.

She was also charged with driving a vehicle with a number plate which didn't conform to British standards and bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on April 21.
