A249 crash: Two injured after car and bus collide on busy road

Motorists suffered a torrid time this evening after a car and a bus crashed on the A249.

Queues were stretching back from from Stockbury Roundabout to Detling due to the collision, which happened just after 4pm on the Sittingbourne bound carriageway.

One person suffering minor cuts and another reporting shortness of breath.

Police were also called to a broken down vehicle on the Sheppey Crossing heading towards the Island.

It happened at around 5pm and the road was closed while the vehicle was recovered.

It reopened a short time later.
