Loose Road in Maidstone is now open on both lanes following a car fire at the junction with Armstrong Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2pm after receiving reports that a Peugeot 406 was on fire in the road, close to South Borough School.
The fire started in the car's engine and was extinguished by Kent Fire and Rescue Service at 2.27pm.
Both lanes were initially closed.
