Caravan jackknifes on M20 between junctions 8 and 7 for Leeds and Detling

A caravan jackknifed across the M20 this afternoon causing delays on the London-bound carriageway.

The accident happened at 3.30pm between junction 8 for Leeds and 7 for Detling.

Two lanes were initially blocked, Kent Highways said, but this was quickly reduced to just one.

The caravan has now been moved onto the hard shoulder and Highways England staff are staying with the vehicle waiting for it to be taken away.

Delays are now clearing.
