Steve Wade, of Heath Road, Barming, appeals for information after tool theft

A victim of theft has taken to social media to appeal for information.

Steve Wade, of Heath Road, Barming, posted the minute-long clip, which shows two men stealing £600 of tools from his van, on Facebook over the weekend and has since attracted more than 700 shares.

The footage, recorded at 4.45am on Sunday, June 14, shows both suspects approaching the vehicle.

One man can be seen removing two black cases containing DeWalt drills from the back of Mr Wade's van and handing them to his accomplice who walks off.

He then opens the side door but promptly shuts it and leaves the scene.

Police confirmed they could not find a report of the incident, however received a separate report of a theft from a vehicle parked in nearby Glebe Lane.

A spokesman said: "Police are investigating following the theft of tools from a car parked in Glebe Lane, Barming between 12 June and 15 June.

"A drill and an electrical tester to the value of £600 were taken in the incident. Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference YY/011775/15."
