by Kent Messenger reporter

Fire crews were called to a roof fire in Goudhurst

Crews were called to Ditton after a bonfire got out of control.

One pump arrived at the scene in New Road just after 2.30pm yesterday.

The flames were out by 2.50pm but firefighters remained at the site for another half-an-hour to damp down the area.

The incident destroyed approximately six metres of fence, hedging and a large conifer tree.
